svgnames colour reference

Using them

Load xcolor with the svgnames option:

\usepackage[svgnames]{xcolor}

\textcolor{DarkOliveGreen}{This text is dark olive green.}
\colorbox{MistyRose}{Text on a misty rose background.}
{\color{SteelBlue} A colour switch until the group ends.}

Capitalisation matters. LaTeX colour names are case-sensitive: DarkOliveGreen works,darkolivegreen is an undefined colour and an error. The names below are written exactly as xcolor defines them.

These names come from the SVG 1.1 specification — the same set CSS exposes as its named colours. Note that svgnames is one of several name sets xcolor offers (dvipsnames,x11names and others are separate options, with different names and in some cases different colours for the same word).
